Underwhelming,... just like the trailer was for Spiderman 2.
The only thing is: I was pleasantly surprised to discover upon watching the sequel that it was better than the first film! That's rare, like Terminator 2 and Aliens kind of exception to the at best watered-down fare that make up the rule in Hollywood sequels.
Will the third be as good as the first two Spidey films? Hope they don't go too far with this Spawn theme that alienated a generation of fans who grew up reading the good ol' wise-cracking Spidey, not some kind of morose dark Batman rip-off. |

I have no idea if this is any good or not. I do know Kirsten Dunsts fug ass is shown almost immediately. She's so alarmingly ugly, it's hard to focus after that, with her little beady black eyes and giant Garbage Pail kid head. I get a cold feeling in my heart whenever I see this mutant, as if a loved one just died. It's like in the movies when the big mean dog sees the devil in human form, and then the big mean dog stops barking and just slowly backs away. I think we're close enough now for me to admit that - on two separate occasions - I've cried after looking at her. It was as if all hope had suddenly died. |
Ouch, but you know she will be a waste of space in this movie |

Wow! Thanks for posting this man.
I'm worried that it won't be as good as #2 though. (just like the "X" series) |

I always thought Venom was a lame 90s character that was only missing a few dozen pouches, shoulderpads, and several badly drawn tic-tacs that were supposed to be guns.
On the other hand, I do hope Spidey beats Sandman by opening a fire-hydrant and turning him into cement ... Cuz THAT'S classic. |

Word is that the suit merges with Brock at the end and sets him up as the villain for Spidey 4.
I just wish they had a decent explanation for the symbiote's existence. Secret Wars is, naturally, out of the question, but John Jameson bringing it back from a space trip is pretty lame. |

That's what it was in the cartoon.
I just hope that Carnage makes it as well. He was fucking cool. |
