It is (02) 2008 - 5000. Press " 7 " (seven) when presented with options (which I believe are spoken in Korean). The person who answers will be able to speak English.

If you have a situation at the bank where your Korean isn't enough to muddle through it, you can whip out your mobile, call this number, get the English-speaking customer service rep, explain what's up, and pass your phone to the teller so he / she can talk to the rep and work it out.

And, go ahead and check it out: Call this number and ask about getting an international ATM card. The answer you'll get: No, foreigners can't have internationally-accessible ATM cards. (Unless they've changed their minds since my newbie colleague last checked about two months ago.) Give it a try; will be interesting if a lot of you call and we hear you got different answers!
