Korea Behind OECD Average in per Capita Income Growth
Korea has a slower growth in gross national product (GNP) than other OECD member countries, a lawmaker claimed yesterday. According to Rep. Kim Hee-jung of the main opposition Grand National Party, it took 10 years for Korea to reach $16,000 GNP from $10,000, 3.1 years more than the OECD average.... "National incomes are increasing slowly, but the national debt is soaring. It is a major problem for the country," Kim said.
