My work PC is on the fritz. It seems extremely virus prone. I have been using Opera because the IE they have installed won't let me check my email and is all Hangeul.... at least the Opera I installed is in English.

It sounds almost to like someone set something funky in the Control Panel.

I keep getting some "LSA Shell (Export Version)" dialog... then a "System Chong Ryong" ????

You are in a public school?

Tell your minder to get the tech guy in and fix it. They usually make the trip to each school on a weekly basis.

If YOU have problems with Korean XP, then get them to install an English version of windows and office.

Our tech service gal is going to reformat it soon, I just was kinda interested in what is going on with the thing.

The virus checker just found a "backdoor" in some IE 5 Temporary files.

Opera shouldn't be the problem, am I right? If they are still running IE 5 on this beast, then... well... I dunno, I am only a User with a curious streak...

It's weird, it doesn't seem like a full Restart.

It counts down from 30 seconds once the error message opens. Then flashes the Samsung splash screen. One beep. Then loads Windows XP. Total recovery time is about 30 seconds, maybe a little less.

This is a P3, it doesn't seem like it should Restart that fast...

Question

That reminds me of the symptoms from the sasser worm. Maybe try the removal tool on that site. Install windows updates.
