My question is quite simple: Are there certain "seasons" that schools in Korea hire ESL teachers? IE I graduate college in May, would I have a chance at employment in June?
Thanks. |

A minor correction if I may?
Yes, public schools start in March and late Aug. / early Sept. but they do the bulk of their recruiting in Jan/Feb and June/July to get the paperwork finished before the new terms start.
If the OP has all his documents IN HAND at the end of May he will be in good position to look for a public school position for a Sept 1 start (and the typically required training session in mid August).
If he is desperate for employment he can start at a hakwon within about 20 days (legally with E2 in hand) of graduation. |
