|

I'm thinking of moving to Korea. One thing I'd like to do while I'm there is some research on English literature. Are there any libraries in Korea with really serious collections of English books? For example maybe an American university with a campus there, or the main library in Seoul, or any major Korean universities with specialties in English language subjects? Don't get me wrong -- I know it's not an English speaking country and I'm not expecting the answer to be yes. Just asking. Also, any other major venues for English language books and journals that I may not be aware of? Thanks .... mp |

I tried to research libraries and came up with nothing. The conclusion I came to was that either you have to be Korean, be able to read Korean, or you can't take the books out of the library. Someone might be able to prove me wrong on this.
There are a lot of bookstores that carry English books (and a good selection), but they are quite expensive. |

You mean if you're not Korean but you can read Korean, you can take books out; but if you're not Korean and you can't read Korean, you can't take books out?? mp |
