And the water is so cold! A brilliant way to discourage people from washing their hands after going to the loo! Sad

This temperature is FABULOUS! At last, I can cuddle up in my brand new synthetic fibre blanket. Subway sucks though - no way I can take a seat with all that hot air blowing onto the calves. Last year, I asked a train attendent to turn DOWN the heating. Koreans don't seem to understand the difference between turn down and turn off, 'cus by the time the train reached Busan, all passengers had nearly frozen to death and were cursing the Waygook!

As for the sandals - perhaps you can get some of those trendy socks which enclose each individual toe...

Ah I am just going to have to start bringing an extra pair of socks to wear in the clasroom I guess. Evil or Very Mad

Why are busses like a blast furnace and yet they freeze the kids and teacher at school? Personally I would like a happy medium. Confused

Another example that there's no balance here.

Personally I don't mind the heaters on the train. I hate the cold! It's depressing.

If I could just get the students to CLOSE THE DOOR in my building, I'd be happy!! Didn't their moms ever say "What?? Where you brought up in a barn????"

I SWEAR, I closed the doors 10 times today...has NO ONE heard about "energy conservation?" Rolling Eyes Nah...just..."Oh, it's cold!!!" Well, of COURSE it's cold!!! THE FREAKIN DOOR IS OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for letting me vent! Embarassed

i finally got a kerosene heater in my classroom. so now my classroom reeks of fucking kerosene. classy. and it looks like somebody stole it from Hawkeye and Trapper John's tent 50 years ago, kept it in storage, then finally brought it out specifically for the English Zone.

Here's a tip...wear more clothes.

Re heating in train:

I was once told that they could either only turn it on or leave it off. There's no happy medium.
