Hello everyone,

How does one apply to public schools in Seoul? Do you go directly to the administration of any randomn school or is there some kind of governmental recruiter/website for Seoul?

Basically, is there a website you apply to that sends out your application, photo and other personally related materials to public schools in the Seoul area?

Thanks so much if you could give some great info! Include links if you have em.

Looks like that page hasn't been updated in a while. That's a lot of work to get a job, is it possible to get a job at a public school outside of the SMOE's reach?

Sure...

GEPIK - Gyeonggi English Program in Korea (for Gyeonggi province)
http://gepik.ken.go.kr/

and

EPIK - English Program in Korea (for the rest of the country)
http://epik.knue.ac.kr/

All 3 (EPIK, GEPIK, SMOE) should update their respective websites in Dec/Jan for March starts.

It's my understanding that SMOE doesn't do the preliminary screening of applicants, so you would go through a recruiter for those. At least that's what I had to do but that was during the busy hiring time.
