Yo,
I just received an interesting offer from a local academy. Specifically, the school wants me to write a single 500 word essay from 5 TOEIC questions. The salary offer is 2.2-3.8 depending on your essay score. When I asked who wiill be marking my test (in order for me to guage my audience) the school would nott say. Do you think there is a legitimate chance that a school would pay 3.8mil for 30 hours/week. |

The school you are refering to is CDI. There are other threads here that discuss them. I believe that the range includes rent and other things. The people I have talked to say that the average base is around 2.4 + apartment. Still a good salary. If they use the standard TWE style of grading make sure that you use the format that they suggest. I thought about doing it but since I have already published several books and papers, I thought it was a little excessive. Good luck and let us know if you get hired. |

Thank you for responding to my post. You are correct; it is CDI in Ulsan. I have an F-2 visa and work a few other jobs, so i decided that even if they did pay the max., it would still work out to only 30,000/hour. |
