OSAKA--Five Canadians have been arrested on suspicion of offenses including attempting to smuggle a stimulant drug into Kansai Airport, it was learned Friday.

The arrested men and women reportedly hid 17 kilograms of the drug with a street value of about 1 billion yen in a number of items of hand luggage on a flight from Vancouver late last month, according to the Osaka prefectural police.

The group, whose members were aged in their 20s through 50s, were arrested on suspicion of violating the Stimulant Drugs Control Law, the police said.

If they don't get extradicted to a Canadian prison, their life is over. Civil rights violations and "torture" (sorry, strict living) galore!

If I were King of the World, these scumbags would be cornholed and shot at the break of dawn just for having the audacity of carrying backpacks, wearing sandals, and not pronouncing their vowels correctly.

That usually doesn't happen to them until they get inside.

I would much rather go to a Korean prison than a Japanese prison these days.

A little under exactly two years ago, I met some Canadian moron in a club in Hongdae. He showed me a giant wad of cash he had on him (I think it was about 700 000). I was surprised he would be dumb enough to show me, so I told him to show my friend. He did. This is one thing I think Americans always do smarter than Canadians: you don't show people how much money you have.

So this dude told me he was going to invest the money into trying to grow weed on a Korean mountain somewhere. To this day I still regret not jumping him and taking his money.

Stupid folks. They should have known better than to pull somehting like this in Japan. Immi has been more strict with me in Japan than anywhere besides Istanbul. I really got questioned by immi in the summer of 2005 and I was only staying overnight. They wanted to know where I was staying, who I was staying with, what his nationality was, what kind of visa he had, blah blah blah.
