Michael Jackson's "Heal the World."
I wish I were making this up. Some of our classes are singing it for a program they're having in February. |

"It's time to open Backpack
And see what we can see
We'll have lots of adventures
Explore Backpack with me..."
Doesn't help that my old students LOVED the song and sang it every day... |

I don't know that song. However that's the reason I love working at a Uni. However it's short skirts not short shorts (summer is over =( ) |

Of course they learn from songs. I don't speak Italian, but I memorized part of an Italian song and repeat it sometimes to Italians. I don't know the spelling, but something like "Cercon ami co cel venga, un basta son llarte.... blah blah blah... un po di te." And Italians say, "Where did you learn this? How do you know this?"
My kids hate it when I sing, but they do like the stupid backpack song. I think the writers of these songs are bitter people who didn't last long as ESL teachers and are exacting revenge. |
