I'm looking to buy a second hand motorbike in Seoul. I'm interested in something like a Bandit 600, but will consider others. My budget is about 1-1.5 mil. Any suggestions. |

I'm sorry to say that with your budget you can probably get a bike with 250cc engine at the most. I'm just about to buy 125/250cc scooter and even most of them (used ones) cost more than 1.5 mil. Good luck! Oh, a good place to look for used bikes is Bikemart. but you need to register in before you can really browse the bikes. |

I suggest the Comet 250gt Its a great bike in your price range. I have it and I love it. Not the biggest speed deamon but its HELL of a lot better then a 125cc. Try www.passo.co.kr I got my bike from there. |

But if you really feel like budgeting by a 125cc Daelim (a VS25 or Magma) for about 300k-500k.. then you don't need the hassle of getting a licence and plates and stuff.
It won't be super-fast but you'll still beat the cars and buses at the traffic lights. I have a VS25 and it's great for getting about town. If I was going on a proper road trip I'd want something bigger though.. but then I'd need to get a licence.. I heard the test here is tough and I don't have a bike licence from back home. |

You still need a Korean driver's license or international license AND plates and registration and insurance for a 125cc bike. Anybike 50cc or more needs that. Once you hit 250cc, you need a motorcycle license which you have to take a skills test for.
Of course, many people don't care and just skip all this and are fine. So far, after 4 months with my bike, I haven't NEEDED these things, but it's less stressful (to me) to know I don't have to fear cops and accidents. |
