Hey,
I just saw an commercial on television for a compliation called Rhythms Del Mundo. Basically, it's a whole bunch of 'hit' pop/rock songs with the Buena Vista Social Club being added to the tracks. Two samples they played were 'Clocks' by Coldplay, and a song by U2. They sounded freaking awful! Who came up with the idea for this monstrosity? And, who would buy it? It's basically these serious sounding songs with peppy trumpets being added. Yikes! Does anyone have any other bastardizations they'd like to share?
