The best thing about my satellite TV connection was the English language Cartoon Network. I love to watch the Justice League and Superman and a whole host of other goodies. Then I switched on the TV the other day and to my surprise they killed it. They turned it Korean, but not only that they changed the programming. Now instead of the excellent programming regularly available they have like 8 hours a day of Tom and Jerry. I imagine since it is one of the only programs available with Korean dubbing.

So I ask, what is the point? Why not just add a channel and keep the original? Why ignore the expat community and other English speaking paying customers? Only in Korea.

meh...are you surprised? You must be new to Korea.

Koreans are a decent lot and I have some good Korean friends and I'm married to one, but never forget...

Koreans really, really don't give a spit about whether the expat community is comfortable or not. No deep philosophy here.

Ask yourself this...Do you care if Koreans back home have a "Korean" channel on TV or they can find Kimchi at the local QuickieMart?

Sorry to be harsh, but its a reality you had better come to terms with.

Please check out TVUPlayer, and Bittorrent for a great selection of English programming. Also, there is a pretty decent selection of English movie DVDs to be found at the local rental shop. Good luck.

Cheers.

Look no further my friend:

http://tvlinks.voodeedoo.org and
www.peekvid.com

The first one in particular has Batman and Justice league, and the BEST thing is that NO downloading is necessary, it's just streamed to your computer. Enjoy and don't worry about tv.....................
