I'm looking for some good books on teaching English. I have a background in Linguistics, so the Oxford Applied Linguistics book on ESL/EFL sounds good to me, but I wanted to ask what have people read, used, and found most helpful.
Also, I heard about a book or possibly series of books called PACE that were supposed to be good, but I must have the title not quite right because I can't find them. |

"Learning Teaching" by Jim Scrivener has served me well thus far ^^ It's basically a large chunk of the CELTA written into a book. I would definately check it out.

Thanks for the suggestions Is that CELTA-in-a-book one age-specific or is it pretty general? I've only taught university students before so I know nothing about dealing with little kids. |
