My second intel core 2 duo E6600 is on its way. Now...I have to sell it (the replacement has been authorized). any takers? If not, then I will probably throw it up on Ebay; I'd rather it go to someone here.
Starting price for a brand new E6600 @ 2.4ghz CPU...
200,000Won. Let me know and let the bidding begin.
P.S. This is a new processor (in case you missed it above). |

Hey there,
I don't. My first one had a bad heatsink and overheated (had an average temperature of 90 degrees celcius). I am returning it and they are sending me a new one. I am working on my master's degree and cannot be without a computer so I bought another E6600 here in Korea. I installed the new E6600 with a good heatsink. The busted one is going back to the store and they are sending me a replacement. That replacement will be new, but I already have one so I have to sell the new one that is coming.
P.S. - After careful research on the net, I found that this processor that overheated may still be fine. At a certain point in overheating, the processor throttles down effectively decreasing the core speed. I believe that is what has happened to my old processor. Unfortunately, I do not know how to bring it back to normal core speed (maybe it's just a matter of reducing the heat and it will automatically re-adjust itself). Regardless, I will have a new one within 5 days. |
