With the turnover rate in hakwons, any list you get will be out of date before it is published....

In reference to what is a good hakwon, what criteria are you using to measure good? Good as in profitable? Any of the *beep* chains will fit that description.

Good as in follow the law? NONE.

I started a business and have a lot of teachers interested in working in Seoul so I need to contact some schools up there.

I am posting an ad in a popular english paper this thursday, but for right now, I would like to contact some schools by the phone.

Don't think there is a list which you are seeking. There is a black list on the sticky thread (me think) but it's validty is highly questionable. My advice is to seek other alternatives, the public schools are already hireing for March. This is a far safer option and your sanity should stay in check. There are Hogwons that do have a good reputation but it is quite literally Russian roulette. To quote Tom Hanks "life is like a box of chocolates, you just don't know what you are going to get". Well in the case of chocolates mates you can always read the box, it aint the same with Hogwons mate. Unless it's a solid rec. then leave well alone. I knew of one here in Jeju but i believe the posts are filled, no surprises there. Good Hogwons are like rocking horse shit a rareity. Trust me!

If you can navigate your way through Daum, then you can find thousands of listings for hagwon addresses and their telephone numbers. Just type in 'hagwon' in Korean in the search field on daum.net

Thanks! Here's a freebee for you, I just found this resource,
http://www.whitepages.com//10137/reverse_phone, but it doesn't seem to work for the international pages.

I was hoping to find a yellow pages for Korea in English? No such luck?

Yeah, I have seen my friends go through the ringer with their owners. Bunch of aceholes. Do the public schools hire recruiters? Do you know who I could contact?

Thanks

Yep, numerous do, take a look at the jobs page and you will see those that do. Just looking yesterday and i noticed a recruiter doing the public school gigs, there was even one for December. I hope this helps, i am slightly unsure what you are seeking. I have a slight Soju haze and i have only taught one class today so my brain is slightly uncoperative, like most days!

Awesome. Someone started a recruiting business, but they can't seem to figure out how to get ahold of any hogwons.

You, my man, are truly a dork.

Your a massive ace.

I have contacts for most of Korea, just not Seoul. Most teachers want to work in Seoul.
