You're really asking for a train wreck of a thread here. Very interesting and provocative.
No sense adding the risk of AIDs/HIV to the hell of drug-addiction. I wish more humane methods like this were used to help addicts.
I assume you are a Canadian?
Why are Conservative types (in any country) so hostile to drugs and addicts? |

Because people like me spent university getting laid and getting high and they had no friends except other virgin conservatives.
And they own stock in big pharma.
That's my theory and I'm sticking to it! |

Who cares they are addicts. Addiction is a choice not a disease. Fudge them, who cares if we have some dead beat loosers die. They deserve it.
Yes I am a conservative. Why should tax payers money go to supporting illegal activities like this.

Very humane. Should we let alcoholics die too? What about those with mental illnesses?
So all these addicts choose to die of AIDs or choose to OD?

Alchoholics are addicts its a choice to drink not a neccessity. Yes I do think that if they idiots by poisoning themselves they deserve everything they get. I was an alchoholic but I went and got help instead of drinking more. These people are just sticking more needles into themselves.
They are well aware of the fact that doing drugs may give them HIV.
Liberals/Socialist just seem to think that hand holding is the answer. In this case they are the hand that inects the poison into them.
Do I feel sorry for these people. HELL NO. Survival of the fittest, sometimes we need to clean scrub the gene pool. |

addicts = alcoholics = you
I don't mean to be harsh but alcoholics are people who are addicted to alcohol. The only difference is that addiction to alcohol is more socially accpetable.
You got help so it wasn't survival of the fittest, was it? You weren't exactly fit.
Its far more difficult for an addict to get treatment precisely because of people with attiudes like you.
By mentioning gene pool you are contradicting yourself.
If addiction is genetic then they have no choice. |

Wrench good to see you back buddy! A few weeks at the hsopitial helps clear my mind as well, lol  .
Your point about being survival of the fittest/their just druggies let them die is exactly what Reagan said in the 80's. His denials and hatred towards these people allowed HIV to spread into an epidemiuc where it killed "innocent" people outsite of the gay/drug users paradigm.
Conservative's myopic and non-science based views of drugs and addicts are directly responsible for allowing HIV to spread unchecked for more than a decade. |
