I was approached a couple days ago at a subway station by a foreigner from India who wanted to show me a bunch of pictures of children in India, and he asked me for a donation.
As this has happened to me several times before, I began to wonder 'who are these guys?'

I mean, they only approach me because they can see that I'm probably an English speaker. But of all the places to get donations, why are they here? Seems pretty low odds to me if you are going to wait 3 or four hours until the next foreigner walks through the station.

And are these guys even legit?

I get the Japanese students who always come through Starbucks with pictures and wanting money. They are always quite surprised when I said I am not going to give any money and please leave me alone (nicely ofcourse) in Japanese. Atleast they really are Japanese, which probably means they aren't just fleecing people. I still don't trust them.
