|
|
I need to upgrade my wardrobe. Currently rotating four jackets, 5 slacks. Discovered in september that my entire wardrobe of wool, linen, and silk blend suits in storage had been "eaten". Does anybody have a general idea of what is costs to buy suits off the rack here? I am not any extraordinary size, 5' 9" 90 kilos (a little big in the chest and back).
Is there any particular market in Korea I should head to? I live in the middle of the country (geographically).
(if anybody has any experience buying suits in the Philippines, can you post your thoughts on that (quality and price comparison) as I will probably go home after christmas.)
Thanks. |

| Dongdaemun Stadium is full of clothing stores, malls and street vendors. I have heard it is the biggest shopping district in the country. |

Thailand: i have had 3 suits, 2 jackets and a nice wool overcoat tailored there. I just buy shirts here. Shirts you can buy in Itaewan in a little dusty store near KEB.
But, seriously, if you want to get a lot done, take your next holiday in Thailand and save a bundle on good tailored clothes. Of course, ask for some recommendations once there. In the tourist areas, Thailand has a lot of tailor shops. Get a recommendation and barter with them... Tell them "hey, If I buy two can I have these for...... |

Thailand? No. My wife and son are at home waiting for me in the Philippines.
Dongdaemun stadium. ok. What about prices? I'm not going for the GQ look, just professional. |

Why don't you give a recommendation for the place you bought yours in Thai? |

At my neighborhood tailor shop in Cebu (Lapu-lapu actually) I got tailor made slacks for 500p per pair. I loved the quality and wear them daily for work. Shirts were 300-500 depending on material. I didn't get a jacket made so I can't give you a price. I would expect probably in the range of p1500-2500 for a jacket and a 2 piece suit for 3000-5000p and 6000p for a 3 piece.
I know that suits in the mall were running 3000-10,000p. |

Thank you. Price is important, but so is quality. And that price is good. i'm going to do t there anyways (since decided), but I wanted to get an idea of what prices I should be paying. Of course, Lapu-Lapu is going to be different from where I live, but the range will be the same...ie; not 5000pesos....
Thanks.
Ah, did you get a discount on quantity? I will likely have three suits, 4 pants, and 5 or 6 shirts done. I don't raelly like suits, cause you cant mix and match.... |
