Our cab drove through an intersection today without looking or slowing down, and we got t-boned. Nothing serious, but the usual stiff/sore back and neck. We have the contact info for all involved and took a couple photos, but otherwise, we had to get to work.

If we see a doctor because of it, does anyone know how we go about getting medical bills paid?

Thanks...

The person responsible for the accident should have insurance that covers your medical expenses. If the taxi is responsible they should have something that covers clients. You may also get a cash settlement.

I was rear-ended and had minor damage and minor neck pain. A co worker helped with all the insurance stuff. I did not have to pay anything upfront. Later an insurance adjuster came to my school and made me a settlement offer. I got $800 for my pain and suffering.

Yup, you can get ludicrously settlements. I was in a fenderbender that looked a hell of a lot worse than it really was. Everybody came out with no injuries. I got W400,000 for basically nothing -- I don't know who paid for my x-rays but it wasn't me -- and it would have been more but out driver was found 40% at fault (which was bullshit, by the way). I've known people who negotiated for W1,000,000 or more in only slightly more serious accidents.
