I have found a truly incredible man at a clinic recommended by my friend. She said it was a reputable place, but I had no idea what kind of amazing super-powers are wielded within its walls until I went in today to request a routine check-up, i.e., just to make sure all is healthy and clean.

The doctor offered me two tests: a sonogram and a cervical cancer test. I told him I was more concerned with STDs and thrush, and stuff of that nature. He said "ok."

Well, the sonogram showed no abnormalities, and the cervical swipe was taken away to be analyzed, but the most amazing thing of all was that this guy assured me that I had NO STDs or problems of any kind, merely by glancing at me. Is that amazing, or what? Korean medicine has surely advanced beyond anything I experienced back home. I sure am relieved, and very pleased to have had the privilege to have paid 60,000 for that information.

This super-genius is in Yongin, if anyone is interested in experiencing his magical powers first-hand! |

He must have went to the same school as my wife's doc. One look and proclaimed "not pregnant!"

I've only had one medical here in Korea and apparently it was I, not the doctor, who had the miraculous powers.

'Any stomach problem?'

'No'

'Any liber problem?'

'No'

'Any intestine problem?'

'No'

Check, check, check, and the form was completed in less than a minute. |

Oh man, I guess places here really run the gamut between utterly optimistic and downright investigative. When I went for a general health check-up at another hospital, they stuck a bloody camera down my esophagus. I tried to refuse, but they insisted it's a "very good test" and give me some potion to drink. It knocked me out completely. I woke up thrashing and gagging as they were dragging it back out, then lapsed back into a drug-induced sleep. I woke up alone and confused in a cold room after this "very good test." |

I had to do that with no anesthesia, they were in for 15 or 20 minutes... I can't believe they made you do that for no reason! |

				| My favorite was the ENT(Ear Nose Throat) who when I went to see him for my sore throat, sucked out my sinus cavities with a thin metal rod through my nose and through my mouth(gag), and then pronounced my problem to be Tonsilitis, despite the fact that I had my tonsils out ages ago!! |
