A few weeks back a make reservations for a small group of friends to dine together and enjoy a Thanksgiving Meal at Gecko's. Or the course of the next few weeks I have people PMing me, texting me, calling me asking if they can join. Each time it means I have to call and change the reservation. Not a problem. It is Thanksgiving after all, so what could I say, "No, Im sorry I dont know you. We dont want you at our table." So each time, I change the number of people coming and figure its just going to make for more interesting table conversation.
Well, dinner rolls around last night and half the people dont show up. Those of us who did had a great time but I thought it was a little rude of those who didnt come. The reason being that other people were being turned away from the dinner because reservations were full. People were left out there roaming the streets dreaming of turkey dinners because other people never bothered to pick up a phone or send an email saying they couldnt make it.
If you can take the time to ask other people to make reservations for you, take the time to tell them you arent going to make it.
Like I said, it was a great night so those who didnt make it we not missed but they talked about.
Cheers,

| Glad to hear you had a good time with those who showed up. To bad that you had to put all that effort into it for those who ditched the event. |

Hey Larry
I am sorry to hear some rude selfish people didn't have the decency to tell you they weren't coming to your Thanksgiving bash after you had bent over backwards to accommodate them.
Those types of people really annoy me too.
BUT, you had a great time anyway and that is all the matters.
Next time those buggers can make their own arrangements!
