Now, if this isn't among the most random, nonsensical deaths you've ever heard of... Is it even slightly possible this could be part of some sick puppet master's grand scheme? But them, a butterfly's wings in China...
I've got to get to work. Someone forward this to Darwin Awards... Might get an honorable mention.
Woman's body found behind bookcase

NEW PORT RICHEY, Florida (AP) -- A woman's body was found wedged upside-down behind a bookcase in the home she shared with relatives who had spent nearly two weeks looking for her.
...Weber, 38, came home October 28 and greeted her mother, then wasn't seen again. Her family thought she had been kidnapped and contacted authorities. Family members scoured her room for clues but found nothing, although they did notice a strange smell.
On November 9, Weber's sister went into her bedroom and looked behind a bookcase, where she saw the woman's foot...
"I'm sleeping in the same house as her for 11 days, looking for her," her mother, Connie Weber, told the St. Petersburg Times. "And she's right in the bedroom."
...Her family believes Weber, who was 5-foot-3 and barely 100 pounds, may have fallen headfirst into the space.
"She's a little thing," her mother said. "And the bookcase is 6 feet tall and solid. And she couldn't get out."
The sheriff's office said Weber appeared to have died because she was unable to breathe in the position she was in. |

| A few years ago I was campaigning door to door in the U.S. I went to a house with one of those little yappy dogs that acts like it is going to try to kill you, or take a chunk out of your ankle. The house had a big window next to the door and a couch on the other side of the window. When I knocked on the door, the little yappy dog came running across the room towards the window. It pounced on the top of the couch, but pounced a bit too far. It fell head first in between the back of the couch and window. It was stuck between the top and bottom of the couch, motionless, upside down and looking at me out of the corner of its eye. It wasn't barking anymore. I knocked on the door again, but no one was home. I felt kind of bad for it, but not bad enough to restrain my laughs. |
