I was wanting to know if medical costs are generally less in Korea when compared to the U.S.? I needed a procedure done, but I just did not have the money in the U.S. It was for a minor hernia, and I am kind of tired of the thing, because I want to weight lift, but I know it would be the death of me, if I go back to the gym with it there. I couldn't spend 5 K on an operation in the U.S. I am sure it is cheaper to have it done in India and spend some days over there. Any ideas? |

Sinple hernia repair, IF you have national medical, shouldn't run more than a million or so + your hospital stay. Private rooms are about 150k per day in most Korean hospitals.
I have no idea what the costs would be in one of the "international" medical centers. |
