I play the banjo and musical saw, and I am not bringing mine because I won't have enough carry on space on the plane. Does anyone know where I can buy these instruments in Seoul? Also, what are the prices of instruments in comparison to the US?

Blue Grass music isn't quite popular in Korea. I have seen a banjo one time, but I assume that the person brought it with him from home.

In Seoul, I saw an extensive music store but I forgot where it was. They had many kinds of diverse instruments. I don't remember seeing the saw but I did see a mouth bow.

You might find something at the Nakwon Market, next to Insa Dong.

hey there.
I bought a banjo here in Busan for 170,000W with the case.
For a very very mediocre banjo that's what you should expect.

I haven't seen any REALLY seen any GOOD banjos though.

And musical saws? Can't you just use a normal saw?

ps...where are you moving too?

I'm moving to Daechi. I don't want to bring my banjo because it is expensive; I don't want to travel with it. I don't mind getting a cheap one just to keep up playing.
