There's a video clip from 60 minutes that I want to save, but cannot for the life of me get it into a useable format.
I've found it in IE temp files but when I copy it out it turns to a .dat file that won't play in anything even if I change the extension. though doubleclicking it when in the temp folder works fine.
I can't get it out of firefox either. I've searched torrents and emule but can't find this particular clip. If someone can either save it for me or give me the correct instructions I would be very grateful.

Go back to the site where you found it and use the "unplug" plugin for firefox to save it as the filetype as it exists on the server where it is hosted.
Edit: Nevermind, I tested it and that doesn't work. You might try out some other plugins with firefox, but it looks like they have cleverly coded that feed so that it couldn't be kept by viewers. |
