Another ESL teacher at the bar last night said that porn in Korea was illegal...that like you shouldn't even view it on the internet. This sounds ridiculous.

Any info...cuz this just can't be true.

Porn is not illegal. They just don't show everything - genitals are blocked. Only b00bs can be shown.

Kind of like being two-faced in my opinion; all the zillions of massage joints, red light areas, street walkers, barber shops, sports massage places....and porn..illegal? Every single cotton pickin' city in korea has 'em! Even the small towns.

A previous student of mine did porn of the first variety (an open secret at my school). A frequent co-star of hers eventually went into the second variety (posted on the internet thru off-shore web servers)

zotto.tv and 1090TV are internet only and broadcast from offshore servers?
They are certainly Korean productions with Korean actors/actresses.
And they hold nothing back. No pixelation (if that's a word) like mainstream Japanese porn.
How'd they get away with making and marketing so many episodes?
I've only seen a handful. So to speak. Shocked

I'm not refuting, just curious. And doubting it's illegal.

Was talking to a guy from California who was studying at Yonsei, and he told of going to Chejudo (all expenses paid) to participate in a porno. Yeah, the genital blocking. I've noticed that on TV they show T & A, but they blur out the genitals.

I think that it's like that in all of Asia. I remember going to this site "Busty Asians" or something. It showed couples going at it, and, yes, they did block things out. Get this, there were two couples doing it, and the guy or woman was talking dirty, and the censors bleeped out a swear word in the dirty talk. I kid you not.
