Great movie, but don't forget the fact that it is based on another great movie called Infernal Affairs. Watch that too, preferably before, in order to appreciate the new movie completely.

First movie is much better if you can stand subtitles. However, Departed is a great movie in its own right. Enjoyed watching and probably will watch it again tonight over a few mixed drinks!

It was a very fine movie. Nicholsan is brilliant as a mob boss. ( has he ever played one before?) However, as far as undercover cop movies go, I prefer Donnie Brasco.

Is it playing in Korea now?

Donnie Brasco was good. A true story, the book was good too.

Saw it Maine and heard the other theatre goers laugh about the accents as we exited (Portland is about an hour and half away).

Great movie, shocking climax, would like to see the original.

I liked it.

Good dialogue - fairly realistic I thought.

The end was crap though.

And I generally don't like police shows (CSI) or movies.

De Caprio has been pretty good lately.

Very close!
(by 'close' I mean not close at all- about 800 KM away)
To make a short story long, I just happened to be in Portland a few weeks back the weekend that the movie opened (or maybe the 2nd week, but whatever). Friends from Boston (originally Conneticut and Cape Breton) got married there, and we hung around and played tourist for a few extra days.

PS Kennebunkport = worst *beep* ing pizza in the entire world, hands down.

Saw it Monday in Korea.

Quite good. Best movie I've seen in a theater in about 3 years.

Didn't really like Nicholson

LOVED the Koreans' reactions to graphic bloodshed. Made me giggle.
