|
|
I just arrived in Korea a few weeks ago and I would really like to learn the language. I don't need to be fluent or anything, I'm just interested in learning some basics in speaking and reading.
Does anyone know of anywhere at gives FREE lessons...preferably in the Gwangali or Seomyeon area??
Thanks. |

Yes!! If you work for CDI, they offer free Korean lessons. Not every CDI school has them but if you are a CDI employee you are eligible to take them at a CDI school offering them near-by.

Busan volunteer center has a free class every Saturday, from 11:00 - 1:00. It's on the 10th floor of the Busan water authority building, near city hall. (It's about half way between yang jeong and city hall subway stops)
It's not the best class out there, but it's free. And you don't have to sign up for a job to take them. (there is a small fee of 3,000 won/month for coffee and snacks)
Also, there are 40 lessons on youtube for beginners that would be helpful for you.
Good Luck |

Thanks for the replies.
I'm not working for CDI, but I'll check out you tube and look into the class near City Hall station.
Cheers! |

| You could check out the site www.pusanweb.com (I assume it's still up and running - haven't looked at it for a while) - you could place a free ad looking for language exchange on their classified section. There are many language learning volunteer groups in and around the universities in Seoul. I would assume that Busan had a similar trend? |
