I fly into Manila on the Saturday before Xmas and then am heading down to Mindano so will not have alot of oppurtunities to change money until the next Tuesday. I would like to change some cash into Pesos before I go, does anyone know any money changers in Seoul who carry Pesos that are open on Saturdays (I live in the sticks and am heading to the big city for the weekend) figure even though I will get scrwed at a money changers it will not be as bad of a scrwing as at the airport in Incheon or Manila.
I know this should be in the travel forum but, well, things never really get answered there.

Best bet is to change to dollars, then change to pesos when you get there. I'm pretty sure the only currency you can get here are dollars and yen. Change a little at the airport in Manila, then more outside.

Things like this get answered very quickly in the travel forum.

You CAN buy Philippine pesos at the airport in Incheon. The rate is not bad and it will be difficult/impossible to exchange won in Mindano.

Take $US ($100 denominations) to the Phils for the best rates and least problem when trying to exchange currency there. If you are on the evening flight to Manila you may not find a money changer open when you need one.

Pick up about 5,000 pesos (around 100k won) and you will be fine for a few days. Get 10k pesos (200k won) to be safe over the holiday and get the SMALLEST bills you can get (php100's if possible).

The difference you pay in the exchange rate will be less than buying dollars and then exchanging again into pesos when you get there. On 200k won you will only lose about 2000 won by doing it at the airport as compared to anywhere else. How much running around and wasting time do you want to do to save w2000?
