Last month my gas bill was 11000
This month it is 37000.

I had the ondul on for 2 hours.
Left the hot water on for 2 nights ( instead of turning it off when I finished showering).
I do cook most every day, as opposed to eating out mostly when I first got here.

Is the bill normal?

Last year my winter gas bill went up to about 100,000. I used ondol for about 2 hours a day.

Another thread recently stated that it is cheapest to leave the ondol on, low, at all times. The steady flow is cheaper than jacking it up just when it gets really cold. Seems to make sense so I'll be trying that this year. I've been doing it so far for November so in a couple of week I can let you know how much my bill is.

Its possible that your bill is split between everyone in the building. Really encourages conservation doesn't it? So, you might be paying for the ajumma upstairs who has her heat on 30 and leaves the windows open all day.

It drives me crazy but its still much cheaper than Canada where my Aunt and Uncle's electricity bill for a house of four is 600$ a month. Now thats crazy.
