|
|
So in my few trips to Yongsan I couldn't find a store that sold anything like a 360 or perhaps the new Wii... any ideas on where to find such a store? I noticed Nintendo does have a SK distributor and considering the influence of windows here I assume the 360 is to be found somewhere.
Am I simply looking in the wrong place? I figured I could find it in Yongsan... |

You can definitely get a 360 in Yongsan. You must have been looking in the wrong place. In the Digital Space building they sell game consoles on one of the upper floors... 7 or 8 I think. I'm not sure, but definitely in that building. That would be the easiest place to find. Also, the main video game area of Yongsan is sort of a long underground tunnel. I'm not really good at giving directions, but it's near the mobile phone area. Ask someone if you cant find it. Even places like Emart sell the xbox 360, so I'm not sure why you're having trouble finding it. As for the Wii, it's not out yet in Korea. You might be able to find a seriously marked up Japanese model in Yongsan, but it's probably worth waiting for a Korean version. |

Go out the door of the Yongsan station. On the side closest to the tracks you will find a pedestrian overpass. Take the overpass to the blue building. You will enter on the 3rd floor. Go down one floor and look for the tunnel (another overpass) next to the central staircase.
Exit that pedway (there will be a guy selling pirated DVDs) and go down the stairs. At the bottom of the stairs, turn left. There are 2 tunnels. One is full of phone stuff, the other is full of game stuff. They are open 7 days per week.
Nanjin arcade. Have fun. |

While you're in the game tunnel, look for a place on your right called 게임파크 (Game Park). The guy speaks fluent English and will sell you the console you need, including PS3. |

Regarding the PS3: Good luck finding one before X-mas. Wait a few months for newer revisions to come out. Once the system is stable, then purchase it (and for a few bucks less too).
I would purchase it from the States, have them ship it to someone you know in the states, then have that person box it up in a plain old cardboard box and ship it here. You will evade the customs tax.
Then, purchase the game through ebay and have them shipped here. |
