Quick question concerning the pension refund. I've just finished my contract, applied for the pension refund, and received already.
But I'm wondering if I've made a mistake - will this affect my eligibility for non-residency in Canada?
If so, is it possible to reverse the pension refund? I've seen no discussion of this topic - does anyone have experience with this particular scenario?
Thanks for any help,

<bump>
Does nobody have experience with this? Any ideas where I might find answers? |

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you going home and are worried that receiving the pension will affect your status after you go home? Are you staying in Korea and think this might reduce one of your connections to Korea? Are you leaving Korea but staying out of Canada? |

I think it has no bearing on things, but I've been wrong before.
I did the same thing my first year and had no problems, but I had already claimed non-residency on my last income-tax form.
Residency/non-residency cases are decided on a case by case basis, so I can't really tell you what the Canadian gov't is going to tell you.
Hope this helps |
