Why are there never any senior teacher, DoS or other managerial positions advertised? Who does these jobs, and how do they get them?? |

Because for all practical purposes, they don't exist. Sometimes schools will have "senior teachers', but this just means the teacher who has been there the longest and might make a grand total of a hundred or two hundred bucks more a month. Unless you marry a local and start your own school, don't come here expecting to be put in a position of any kind of authority. |

I guess that it's because 99% of the places here are Korean run. How many Korean bosses are going to let a foreigner be in charge of the show and give them the title of 'DoS'?? |
