The question is where do you buy your wine? Feel free to add in what kind and how much you paid.

I noticed some Buy The Ways have a decent selection of wines between 10,000 - 30,000 won per bottle.

Quit pinchin' pennies and live a little. Hit a wine bar (Gangnam) and grab a bottle of Chilean for $40,000. You won't regret it.

E Mart has a good selection of Australian wines. 12 000 to 20 000 won.

Also lotte department store has a very good selection of expensive wines(well in my opinion, but I'm not a huge drinker).

Samsung Plaza in Bundang. They know how to store it right. The entire wine section is controlled for temperature, etc. They've also got a massive selection. It's the one thing I really miss know that I've moved to the provinces.

Carrefour is okay in terms of selection, but they don't always store it right.

It's not where you buy it, but what's in the bottle. I've gotten some decent wines at Grand Mart. Usually at the convenience store I see Carlo Rossi, which has lost its sparkle since university.

Oh, the Carlo Rossi 3L ash jug......... (empties make a nice ashtray that will take about two months to fill).

No it shouldn't, but you can't beat the price on a 3L jug of Carlo.

Cigarettes and other party supplies are expensive, so you've got to spare some cash somewhere when you're in university.

costco and lotte. I stick mainly to aussie and kiwi wines as that's what I used to sell no more than 30k a bottle

Hey you gotta pay for quality man...If we're talking about a bottle of Chilean Montes Alpha Cabernet Sauvignon 2002, you'll never find it for less than 35, 000 whether you're at Buy the Way or K-Mart. Trust me, its worth every penny if you want a real vino experience that will spin your cap around.

I also stick with Australian wines. Two favorites; Wolfblass Cabernet (14,000, more or less, at Homeplus or Carrefour, or,when I am economizing, Hardy's Cab for 8,900. Red wine is one of lifes little necessities for me- you know, good for the heart and such.
