I teach 200 minutes per day for the school.
I also teach 120 minutes on the side for 50K/60 minutes.
Total of 320 minutes per day. |

Average 240 minutes (320 MWF and 120 TTh) + about 170 minutes of in-school prep + some at home. |

The average over the weeks is 176 minutes.
shortest day is 120
Longest day is 200
Leaves me lots of time for prep.
This is standard for public schools gigs btw.
My first year at the typical "30 hours/week" hogwan was 300 a day.
Life's much better now. |

What's 12 X 40?
I teach so much, my brain has melted
BTW, my hogwan is run by people who have no business being in business (if you know what I mean) |

That's 480 minutes per day!
I hope they're paying you *beep* load of money or you're being majorly screwed. |

240 minutes per day for me at my hagwon
960 minutes per week (Fridays off)
Compared to my last position which was for stretches of months Monday to Saturday and I worked 1800+ minutes per week!
No wonder I'm not tired much these days.
And I make a bit more money now.
But I enjoyed my last job more. |

12 classes x 25 min/class. Which equals: 300 minutes or 5 hours. I get 5 minute breaks in between all the little 25 minute classes. |

My daily time has a wide variance but I have 880 contact minutes per week of regular classes and then I teach an extra 240 minutes of overtime classes per week. total = 1120 minutes per week.
My salary with the overtime classes included is in the neighborhood of 3 mil + benefits per month.
Working in a hakwon @ 1500-1800 minutes per week for 2 million has to suck bigtime. I truly feel for you guys and gals. |

That would depend on what the OP meant by 'teaching'. Is helping a student with an assignment at lunch teaching? Is sitting the back of a classroom watching a DVD with a student teaching? |

240 minutes a day, five days a week. It's crammed into 3;20pm until 7;55pm. So the break time is like five minutes. I stand all 'day' since the classes are big. It's a hagwon with big classes (up to 25 kids) but there's a Korean teacher in the back who's a 'watcher'. |

180 monday
180 tuesday
135 wednesday
180 thursday
135 friday
= 810 minutes or 13.5 contact hours.
I do however have kids stop by my desk all day long to get help with stuff. |
