Something wonky is going on with the burner on my laptop. I can burn dvd-r(s) with no problem but whenever I try to burn a CD-R(music), it gets to around 20% complete before it gives me an error message and it stops. I have no idea why this is happening. Can anyone help?
I know this is very vague and I can provide details if I know what to look for. I'm still learning a lot about computers so please be patient! Thanks.
I do know these details if they mean anything. I have a:
- Matshi ta(it's actually one word but it got beeped out...jeez) DVD-RAM UJ-831S
- AY2126T RSQ204J SCSI CdROM Device
- Fujitsu MHU2100AT
I thought it was the software initially but I downloaded another program and the same problem occurred.
I don't think it's the CD either because I've used this brand before without any problems. I actually burned two CD-Rs recently with this brand(photos, not music) before it all crapped out on me. Actually, come to think of it, I don't think I've ever burned a CD-R with music before on my laptop(been using my MP 3). |

Hello,
We'd be more than happy to help. Could you please tell us what exactly does the error say? It could be the buffer underrun problem causing you problems, could be a faulty drive. Please give us the information so that we may help you.
