| Would you like to see an acoustic guitar clinic take place in Seoul sometime soon? |
| Sounds like a good plan. I live in or around Seoul |

I'm wondering about setting up a guitar clinic in Seoul. Any interest? If so, I'm wondering what you would like it to focus on? This would be a workshop for maintaining your guitar. Topics are welcomed.
I'm thinking of organizing one in late Jan. or early Feb. Probably a weekend ~ Sat. or Sun. though not necessarily. If there is much interest expressed from people from outside Seoul/Kyongi-do then it probably will happen on the weekend.
If you have a day or date tha toy prefer, please mention it. Thanks. PM if you wan to ask me anything in particularly or would like to help out.
Thanks. |

A good idea indeed Harpeau.
What kind of topics were you thinking of? I've been around guitars for over 20 years and have a good understanding of most maintainence procedures. The only thing that still scares me a bit is using the neck-straightning rod thing.
Filing down nuts?
Intonation adjustments? |

Well, whatever people want to discuss would be fine. Truss-rod adjustments with an allen key would be good. Action/intonation. Cleaning and maintennance along with other issues around humidity are also important.
String brand and gague may also be discussed along with machine heads and bridge pins, etc. |

This may sound like a dumb question, but would I need to bring my guitar? My beloved jumbo-body acoustic is back in Canada, and I haven't gotten around to getting one here just yet.
Nonetheless, I'd be interested, pending date/time.
Could this possibly lead into other co-operative workshops on techniques, tunings, fingerstyles, etc? |

You don't need to bring your guitar. If you want to buy one, I might have one hear that may please you.
It could lead to a number of possibilities. It's only the beginning.
Cheers! |

Sounds like a great idea. I'd like to have my kid learn more about guitar maintenance, like putting on nylon strings. We have this guitar that's a bit strange. The strings are sort of tied, or wound on the ends instead of a stopper on the end. Each has three twists and the end is tucked under the others..strange..
I hope this actually happens. |

Before I majored in English, I went to a tech. school in Minnesota and got a degree in musical stringed instrument repair/guitar building (no joke). But I haven't done a fret job, neck reset, nut or saddle construction, bridge plate reglue, etc. since 1998. I'm a bit rusty.
Anyway, electric guitar is where it's at. I get bored with acoustic. |

I feel the exact opposite to you. I love working on acoustic guitars. |
