As the title implies, I'm having troubles opening ports to increase downloading / seeding rates. (Actually, d/l's are OK, it's the seeding rate that sucks, and my credits are rapidly disappearing...)
Whenever a torrent is finished downloading, all the peers disappear except for 1 or 2, and the seeding rate drops to >1 Kb/s.
I'm using BitTorrent on a PowerPC G4 system, OS-X 10.3.9.
I've followed various bits of advice found online, including opening ports 6881 - 6999, but when I do a port check I'm told that these ports are closed.
Should I change clients, or is there another trick that I'm missing?
