Ignoring my many reminders to send my package by airmail, my father took the much cheaper option and sent my package on the slow boat. The post office in America assured him that it would arrive here within four weeks, but I have heard many horror stories about packages that never arrive or arrive four months after the sent date.

What is the likelihood that I will receive my package four weeks from now? Has anyone had a GOOD experience with the postal system here?

The package was sent to my school, not my apartment so that provides me with some hope that it might eventually get here but I'm still worried...and frustrated!

General slow boat to China (yes, that was a joke) takes about 6 weeks from North America. I just recieved my package last night and it was mailed just before Halloween.

4-12 weeks is normal for surface mail from America to Korea.

Good news is that there is a pretty high volume of mail this time of year so it will likely be closer to 4 than 12.

Since it is going to your school there is a very high probability that you will get it (just not likely in time for XMAS).
