It's almost 8:30 and I've got the general house cleaning done. What to do? What to do? It looks too yucky to go outside (I'm planning to go out for galbi jjim tonight, but that's 10 hours away.)

I think I'll:

a) Use up my can of pumpkin by making some pumpkin bread with dried cranberries this morning.

b) Want to finish a novel I started the other day.

c) If it gets light enough, I might do some (water) painting. I have a plant with dark green leaves and bright red heart-shaped flower thingie...kinda Christmasy colors...that might make a good painting.

d) Maybe make some Vinegar Chicken for lunch. Haven't had it in a while and it always comes out pretty good. Don't want to eat too much though--gotta leave room for the galbi jjim tonight.

What do you like to do on a lazy Saturday when the weather outside is crummy and you have lots of time to do what you want?

I must meet my mother at Incheon Airport at 8pm.

Until then, I'm gonna do shopping, make my apartment look tidier, and I'll more than likely have a look at my beloved Daves from time to time.

ed: I'm also gonna wish this disgusting grey weather will *beep* off some time soon.

When I first read this, I thought you meant finish writing a novel you had started the other day... and then I realized that it would be pretty much impossible to start and finish writing a novel in a few days...

Anyhow, this weather is perfect for me. I'm going to finish the last of my grading. Then my daughters kindergarten has a christmas play that I'll go and watch. In the afternoon I'll either read a book, study Korean or do some photoshop training or possibly work on the book I am writing.

Anyhow I love dreary rainy days as it motivates me to read or write.

Got some teachers bringing over their pet turtle for me to "turtle-sit" while they're off to warm islands for the next two weeks.

So I'll spend the rest of the day thinking of ways to torment a turtle. Wink

But today is movie and Domino's pizza day.

I normally study Korean on Saturdays for 2 hours but we've got a winter break now so I'm 'bangkok' today.

When do/did the Asian Games men's soccer and basketball finals air in Korea?

I'll definitely check out those today if they're on. Plus I need a haircut and I'll take my weekly trip to the market before the snow hits this weekend.

YAY snow!!!

I answered my own question by going to the Asian Games website and finding out that China has already killed Qatar for the gold with Wang Zhi Zhi's 28 points.

Qatar beat Iraq to win gold but still haven't seen these matches televised yet. Any knowledge of if they've already been televised or not?

Yeah, not only is it cold, wet and ugly, but I need to go clean the dog poo from my dog run, I have to spend today (and the first week of my winter vacation) working on a class that I have to finish by the 23rd, AND...I think I've decided to break up with my boyfriend.

This day sucks. Evil or Very Mad

Did the shopping thing and got my Christmas haircut. Think I'll relax at home tonight and after a nice homecooked meal I may trim my nose, hand & foot hair, it's getting a little long for my liking.

Still sunny up here near the DMZ, but snow is in the forecast. Did some serious grocery shopping, preparing to hunker down tomorrow. I wish I had a fireplace.

You do indeed sound like a woman, but a really old one. Have a nice night, gram.
