What a bizarre way to kill a guy. There are easier ways for a state to kill someone that won't set off serious, serious alarm bells among your Western European customers. It's one thing to stab a guy with a poisoned tipped umbrella, it's another thing to use nuclear material that's going to possibly hurt other people and contaminate places.

If you're going to use this Polonium 210, it sure sounds hard to get if you're not a government. The finger of blame would naturally turn to Russia. But why would Russia want to risk that? He can't be that big of a critic of Putin and hold that much sway.

I would think, maybe, his underworld dealings got him off'd. But then it's even scarier to think the Russian mob has access to nuclear material.

This is bad.

Was it really all that long ago that they offed a spy-type guy with a poisoned umbrella? How time flies.

CNN has just now reported that an Italian security-type guy has tested positive for this polonium stuff.

but it's nothing to worry about, according to Soviet Man. It just means that Russia has revoked his previous status (as a living, breathing human being).

Polonium is NOT hard to get. It is legal to sell because of its properties: IE: its only hazardous when inside the body and in large amounts. want some Polonium?

I am no fan of Putin. I would much prefer the current Russian Communist Party (the KPRF) to be in both the Kremlin and the Duma.

But Kiriyenko's hard right neocon policies place him in sharp conflict with both Putin's party and the official communist opposition.

So really it is not surprising or unexpected that state enemies (like Kiriyenko) do eventually experience discomfort.

Many of the (un)democratic 'reforms' established in the 1990s by the capitalists, has now been either been dismantled or revoked these past few years.

Russia is probably on the trajectory toward re-establishing a single-party state, which in the current circumstances, would resolve many such internal disputes.

I read somewhere that the British government has a folder he wanted to hand to a former employee of the Yukos (spelling?) oil giant that is said to be filled with evidence of a Russian government conspiracy to take control of the company and jail its president.

No offense, but you have always seemed to be a particularly cold person.

I'll pray for you right now.

I'm a Sinner, too, by the way.

God Bless you, Soviet Man.

Interesting, how everybody the Left disagrees with is now called a "neocon". Good for you sovietman, you're my favorite sock-troll.

I think that neocon has replaced neoliberal as the slander of choice for leftists. Both neocon and neoliberal are left undefined but benefit from their original association with some American idea that lefties dislike.

By the by, Dion just called Harper a neocon. Good for him. Better to use labels than ideas.

maybe somebody should link to some wiki article about neocon/neoliberal/neodouchbag.

You seem to be a very bright person.

If there is a God, may He or She bless you, your family, and anyone else in your deal.
