Has anyone got their E2 visa while in Thailand? Is there a Korean Embassy in Bangkok?
I'm heading to Thailand soon and hope to land another Korean job while I'm there on holiday. It's been so long since I got my orginal E2 I can't even remember what the process was. Any help appreciated. |

You can get your e-2 any where there's a Korean Embassy or consulate.
Most Emassies or near or on Silom Rd, but not the Korean one. It's not easy to find, but I'll try my best to explain how to get ther.
You have to go near the Fotune Hotel. There's a subway line there. The embassy is across the street from the Thai Culture center and there are signs leading to it. If you see a Robinson Department store you have gone too far. Walk acroos the street and there's a road to the left. Walk down about 200 meters and you'll see it.
PM me and id you need more help. |

Just take a taxi there. From the Grand Palace area it was less than 200 baht one way. Thats freaking cheap for door-to-door service. Stop by hte carrefour near by and pick up some pesto and other tasty food.
There are specific times when you are supposed to drop off and pick up your passport. I would suggest callin the embassy ahead of time to check. |

I have been there two different times. Make sure that you call them first. It takes 2 days or longer to process. Drop off is in the morning between 9-11. You just need to fill out the form and give them the number from Korean Immigration.
It is easy to find. Right off from Ratchapadisek.
Phone number is 247-7537, or 247-7561
Address is 23 Thiam-Ruanmmit Road, Ratchapadisek, Huay Kwang,

Good luck. |

The consul is on Thiam-Ruammit Road, it's a right hand turn off Ratchadapisek at Robinsons Dept store in Huay Kwang. Visa applications only in the afternoon. 1:30pm. No problem for an E2 if your paperwork is sorted properly. |
