One of my desktop motherboards is on its last legs, so I'm in the market for a new one and would like some advice.
I know that Asus is one of the better ones, but would like to know about other good mother boards.
Thanks. |

| Chaintech, Gigabyte, ASRock, MSI, Abit. That sums up what I would consider buying, though I stay with ASUS. Gigabyte does have a dual BIOS feature in case you blink one in a flash. |

my intel MB hasn't given my any problems. I guess it is just preference. I usually go with this philosophy:
buy products from companies that specialize in the particular area. I.E. Ram from CORSAIR, Processors from intel and AMD, GPU's from nvidia, BFG, XFX, etc., you get the drift.

| As per Demo above, I have always been happy with ASUS boards, and a few months ago bought a Gigabyte Intel 945G micro ATX board and have been very happy with it so far. |

I bought the Asus P5LD2 deluxe at Yongsan for 160,000. It's about 140,000 now. No problems so far but you need a well ventilated case for it as it's a fan-less design (to keep noise down).
Whatever you get make sure it will support Dual or Quad core CPU's as that's what you will probably upgrade to in a couple of years.
