Hi. I have seen a lot of books I want to read recently and I had an idea - why not try and start a book exchange?

If possible we could start a new forum on Dave's (not sure how that works, guess I could email Dave himself and suggest it...?) so that if you are loking for a book(s) you could start a thread saying what book you are looking for and what books you are willing to exchange. Then if someone has the book(s) you want, they can reply anf you can do a swap either by meeting in person or by mailing the books. That way, you get to read the book you want for the price of postage rather than buying it...

Anyone think it's a good idea...? Could work for dvd's and games too...

Cool

I guess that could be done in the buy sell trade forum altho' your suggestion has the advantage that you wouldn't have to keep looking for or bumping the thread.

I'd definitely be up for a monthly / bi-weekly bookswap.

If a new one could be organised, or the old one resurrected, who would attend????????

The old one is still going.....We are meeting this Sunday, Dec. 10, from 2-4 pm. See the Sticky at the top for directions (in the original post). We will have to change locations in a month or two so I will keep everyone posted about change in location.

Great idea - the book swap is in Seoul, and not all of us are working there. I'd be up for a book swap via mail.
