I'm thinking about taking a middle school position near Geumjeong Station, and I can't find much information about this location. What's it like?

Your area is close to both of these subway stops: about twenty minutes from Geumjeong Station and Doksan Station.

As an aside, Guro Digital Complex Station (nee, Gurogongdong Station) has or had a fair bit of Korean-Chinese action back in 2003 (replete with a Chinese-oriented market and way cheap Chinese beers when my Canucklehead cousin called it his home in 2003-'04, etc.). There are also a lot of decent bars.

Geumjeong is very nice. There is a decent open air market, lots of mountains and scenery and one stop up is downtown Gunpo with a bar/shopping strip. I've been here for 4 months and its pretty good, my favorite Seoul suburb yet!

Thanks for the information. Is there much of a difference between Geumjeong Station and Sanbon Station?

The Sanbon position is an elementary school and the Geumjeong position is a middle school.

Yes, the Sanbon area is much much nicer than the Geumjung area, even though it's only a mile or so away. Huge difference in these 2 places. Also, elementary in my opinion is much better than middle.

I think the area around Geumjeong station is uninspiring as a place to live. Sanbon is much, much nicer. If location is the deciding factor for you, I'd go with Sanbon.
