Hi,

Mr. Park, Yong (Park being his surname) is a very untrustworthy and sly individual. I would not work for any institution that he owns (if I were you).

He owns a lot of academies in Seoul. It is not a chain. Each academy has a different name. I don't know all the names. I know that most are located in Jongno, Gangnam, Seocho, and Noryangjin Districts of Seoul.

The best thing to do is ask who the owner (not director) is.

He has boldfacedly lied to me on many occasions. My salary is always late (up to a month late), and I'm worried I won't get my severance pay before I have to leave the country. Forget about getting my security deposit back and my promised airfare. Shit, they owe me a shit-load of money and I don't think they will pay me, although I know they can.

So, be warned.

Oh, by the way,

Your site is very informative. You raised some interesting points about translation. I have been thinking along similar lines myself, but I don't have a sufficient grasp of Korean to be able to express myself as eloquently as you have done.

Cheers to you and your site. Good work.

Virtually every hogwon in Seoul is headed by a director named "park"- mine included. Are you saying we should only work for "Kims" or "Lees", just to be on the safe side?
