A Seoul lower court yesterday ordered well known Korean singer Lee Seung-chul to pay 10 million won ($10,900) in damages to a spectator hit by a water bottle during a concert last year.
Lee threw the bottle into the audience during his performance, hitting the victim's face, breaking his glasses and causing a 2-centimeter cut near his left eye.
Lee, 40, reportedly said he had been "excited" during the concert. Lee later met the victim, identified only as Kim, apologized and offered 9 million won in compensation.
Kim demanded 10 million won and sued Lee in April this year.
Lee has been ordered to pay 6 million won in damages, 3.5 million won in surgery costs and treatment fees, and 500,000 won to Kim's parents |

$1000 is a lot of money in my book! I'd certainly fight for it.
How old was the victim? If he was under 20, i can see the payment o his parents as they probably had to do a lot of the work gtting the guy medical and legal help. |

since when are water bottles made of GLASS??
al the water bottles I have seen are made of plastic!
emmmm maybe he was drinking San pelligrino! or perrier! 
sounds more like a bottle of soju went flying out of his hand! |
