|
|
For some reason...I must have done something...the address bar is gone.
Where? And how can I get it back.
In the upper right hand of my screen:
it has a small box with the word, links and next to it, another box with the word address...right click it and it brings up....standard buttons, address bar, etc. a check mark is next to each item...I tried clicking on the address bar and dragging it across the page...no go. Any ideas? Thank you! |

| try this bring your mouse cursor right on the line between the grey bit at the top of your screen and the webpage you are viewing so the cursor is over both if it then turns in to a double sided arrow click down and drag it downwards should work. |

Or try this: Put your mouse cursor on the area near where the icons are (top of page, about an inch below the top) when you have Internet Explorer open.
RIGHT CLICK and a window should pop up - there should be some choices - the choice that are active have a CHECK MARK next to them.
Look for the one you want, such as address bar and click. It should come back.
Some people have 5 add ons on their Exploer page - such as Google searh bar and Yahoo tool bar.
If you DONT want all that crap open UNCHECK the options you dont want.
Your computer may run faster when you lose all those add ons.
Hope this helps! |

| Hey all, I appreciate the replies....tried them to no avail. What I ended up doing instead after trying for about 30 minutes using the previous suggestions was going into system restore and resetting it back a few days which did the job. |

You sound like a hell of a nice guy... So be careful about the restore thing...You might lose programs, documents, folders, etc.. |
